“Awards of Distinction” Are Announced

Congratulations to the  Awards of Distinction winners announced on October 16 by Curator, Leslie Leeper.  With nearly 1000 works of art, this was no small task. Awards were given across all gallery art categories, including our 3D Gallery and the Pandemic Art Project.

About the Judges:

Musa Wolcott is a painter and clay sculptor working with pen & ink, oil, watercolor, and pastels. Musa is a Charbonneau resident and part-time golfer, and an award recipient in our annual Charbonneau Festival of the Arts. Musa’s work is sold in galleries and is exhibited in homes across this country and abroad.

Joan Carlson is a Wilsonville resident and artist. She was the Artist-in-Residence at Boones Ferry Primary School for over 20 years. She has worked on numerous art projects with local students and was one of the Primary educators in the “Beauty and the Bridge” tile project along the Wilsonville Road and I-5 interchange. She enjoys her 7 grandchildren, gardening and many art projects at home. She his a member of the Arts, Cultural and Heritage Strategy Task Force for Wilsonville.

Toni Avery recently left the design field to focus on photography and painting. She has exhibited in and won awards from group shows and individual exhibits. Her paintings are part of commercial and private collections. She has been appointed to the Arts, Cultural and Heritage Strategy Task Force for Wilsonville.
