Artist — Milwaukie, Oregon
Diana Strom was born in Portland Oregon. She loves living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, which serves as much of her inspiration. From a very early age, Diana showed a love of color and a drive for making art. A realist by nature, today she continues to grow and evolve by pushing her boundaries with the use of different mediums, subject matter, and techniques.
A self-taught artist until she retired in Sept. 2014, Diana has expanded her knowledge through North Clackamas Arts Guild workshops given by artists Syndi Michael, John Halvorson, Gary Michael, and Billy Beaulieu. Her retirement and ability to paint on a regular basis inspired her to follow her lifelong dream of becoming a full-time artist and launched her business, Diana Strom Art, in July of 2018.
Since her retirement Diana has participated in group shows with the North Clackamas Arts Guild, winning several awards for her portraits and landscapes. She was selected by Clackamas County Arts Alliance for their 2019 AEP program as an individual exhibitor.
Diana resides in Milwaukie, OR with her husband David. She paints for the pure joy and relaxation it brings and is available for commissioned work.
