Project Description

Diana Strom

Artist – Milwaukie, Oregon

Greetings! My name is Diana Strom. I am proud to be a native of Oregon and reside there with my husband and best friend David.

I began my painting journey with acrylics and have branched out to include oils and watercolor. I adore color, nature, and living in the Northwest. It’s what inspires my artistic endeavors. After retiring I decided to act on my lifelong dream of being a full-time artist and launched my business, Diana Strom Art, in July 2018.

My first gallery showing began in September 2020 at the Grand Re-Opening of the Three Rivers Gallery and Gifts and continued until it closed on June 30th, 2021. I also support the local arts as a member of the Three Rivers Artists Guild and North Clackamas Arts Guild.

Mainly I paint for pure joy and relaxation it brings me, and to build emotional connections with people. Frankly, painting keeps me centered, and the connections I make are the icing on the cake for me. Knowing that I have fulfilled a client’s expectations or brought someone joy is truly rewarding. Life is good and sharing my gift with others is always special to me.

I use gallery-style canvas, and multiple layers of acrylic color washes with detail brush strokes to obtain richness and realistic effects, framed in Black Ambiance Gallery 1.5″ Deep Wood Frame.
