It was in college biology class that I realized I could be an artist. I had always received C’s in Art. But here, we were instructed to draw what we saw through the microscope. And I did.

Over the years I have explored various media such as oils, watercolors, acrylics and gouache. I have participated in numerous chalk art street painting festivals, which enable immediate connections to the audience.

Recently I have begun to explore pouring techniques. Through this I’ve been able to approach painting as a mystery. It’s exciting to see what develops. I aim to make the abstract real.
