Project Description

Lyle Ang

Mill City, Oregon

My jewelry is exclusively sterling silver, gold-filled, with some 14 kt gold accents. I do the lapidary for the cabochons included in my pieces. I display over an hundred mineral species made into pendants, bracelets, rings, and earrings. I also create jewelry from modern and ancient coins. I cut out some of the coins and also make coin rings. My techniques include lost wax casting, torch fabrication, and wire wrapping. My special love is hand engraving. I use a held held pneumatic graver (GRS GraverMach). My design style varies from Norwegian Solje to Russian Filigree. I am greatly inspired by Native American designs.
