Artist — Wilsonville, Oregon
I have been creating art, in one for or another, since my childhood days in Seattle. I have worked with serigraphy, photography, tole painting, wood carving, quilting and ceramics. But watercolor is my passion. I am intrigued with its fluidity and frequent unexpected results. I love the challenge of layering glazes until a work feels “finished.” I have a deep love of the outdoors, and most of my work to date tries to capture the essence of those things that resonate with me in nature. I am a graduate of the UW, and live in Wilsonville, OR, in beautiful Charbonneau. My work experience includes teaching elementary school in WA and CA, public relations work for Bell Telephone Labs on Kwajalein, Marshall Islands, technical typing/proofreading at Battelle NW Labs in Richland, and real estate sales in the Sun Valley area. I am a member of the Coachella Watercolor Society and a juried member of the Oregon Watercolor Society.
