Artist — Portland, Oregon
My focused artistic journey began in my thirties when I developed my floral watercolor technique. This was done in large part as a respite from my work as a social worker directing a program for severely abused preschoolers. Since then, I have found it easy to explore a variety of other media including mosaic, landscape quilting and other fabric art. In the last several years I have discovered abstract acrylic painting which has appealed to me because it requires a balance between elements of the work that I can control and elements that the medium controls.
In the last year, I have had success showing my work at the Charbonneau Arts Festival (non-juried) and the Benefit Art show for CraneAge (juried).
