Sarah Saul Combo offers a deep dive into the artistry of jazz with their thoughtful expression of jazz standards from the 20s onward. This group does not shy away from complex works and can play in the many styles of jazz while incorporating their unique expression and artistry. The Willamette Jazz Society recently wrote: “The Sarah Saul Combo comes to town from nearby Salem. Sarah and her band gave a great performance at The Jazz Station back in October showcasing arrangements of classic songs in a variety of styles. This group isn’t about long, complicated solos played at super-fast tempos. They focus on sculpting beautiful renditions of well-known and forgotten jazz standards. This is a band that sounds great, and plays great, together.”
