Project Description

Patricia Davidson

Photography Artist -Molalla, Oregon

Photography for me has always been about capturing the experiences of my travels in the natural world. Growing up, I would camp and spend lots of time outdoors with my family. It’s in my blood. So picking up a camera to capture my adventures and particular vision of the colors, textures, and flowing water of the great American landscape is second nature to me. In the early years, I used a trusty point and shoot camera. But then, in 2007, I won an Oregon State Parks & Recreation photo contest and my husband surprised me with my first DSLR. From that moment on, I was hooked! I feel so blessed to live in the Pacific Northwest where I am surrounded by such gorgeous scenery. I hope my work inspires others to get outside and enjoy our wonderful treasured, public lands. Because I care so deeply about protecting the special places I recreate in, I practice Leave No Trace and Nature First principles.
