Wayne Richards Guitar. Better known as the writer and lead singer for Southern Nights for the last couple of decades he loves how these compositions are put together and how beautiful it sounds when all the parts fit. Although he’s mostly a country guitar player, getting to play with these pros has helped him transfer thoughts, agility, and some real knowledge to his instrument.
Wayne is a multi-national award winning song writer and he and his band Southern Nights have been a festival favorites for more than twenty years. As the founder of Wayne’s World Coffee House 25 years ago he has brought some of the nation’s best singer songwriters two or three times a year to the event.
Two time past president of Portland Songwriters Association he is known for his lyrics, funny and a little rowdy stage presence and big heart.
Just finished his sixth studio album “Muse.”
